Patrick's heading with his friend to get away from work. He's not normally one to flirt with a woman, but when one is at his friend's house, cleaning it, and she invites him to a bar for the St. Patrick's celebration, he feels this connection with her that he's never felt. Now he just has to get past his anxiety and go out there to meet her.
Rachel can't believe the handsome, nerdy guy of her dreams that she met at her biggest client's home actually showed up at the bar. Now they're talking and flirting and that connection she felt is solidifying in just a short time. It looks like some of the luck of the Irish is finding its way to to her and Patrick this year!
This is such a cute, sweet novella. It's not often the nerd, especially a younger one with a less than ripped body gets the girl, and I loved that it happened here. Patrick is an absolute sweetheart, and intent on spoiling the woman of his dreams. She in turn felt instantly safe with him, felt as if she could be herself around him. Though the heat is dialed down way low, the spark is there, and it was obvious they were building something to last. Because this is a novella, the ending is a bit abrupt, and now I want either a full length novel about them, or an extended epilogue so I can see what they're up to in their future.
