We promised our love was forever. A decade later, two little blue lines might settle the score.

You’ve heard of those kids who peak in high school?
Meet my love life.
Garrett Bradford was mine from the moment we saw each other in ninth grade.
Even then, he was a six-foot-four mountain of muscles with bright blue eyes, a wide grin, and a way with his hands.
He was the high school football star, and I was the dance team captain.
We were the storybook cliché… until we weren’t.

Now he’s the most famous offensive lineman in the league, and I’m a buttoned-up, ultra-professional lawyer.
My dancing days are over, and my carefully controlled life is a mess.
Infertility killed my marriage, or that’s what I told myself. Infertility and a cheating ex.
And my inability to get over Garrett Bradford.

One reckless night at his little sister’s wedding is only supposed to be a reunion, a trip down memory lane to a time when life was happier.
Six weeks later, I’m staring at a positive pregnancy test wondering, How did this happen?

I figure I’m on my own until Garrett overhauls his life, moves back to our small town, and shows up every day to massage my feet and hold my hair when I barf and go with me to all my doctor’s appointments.
Our situation has an end date, just like it did so many years ago.
Unless this little score changes the game and gives us the second chance I thought we’d lost.

(THE WAY WE SCORE is a small-town, second-chance sports romance with reunited high school sweethearts, close proximity, surprise pregnancy, a protective Daddy Bear, parents to lovers, it’s always been you, and found family vibes. No cheating. No cliffhanger. No third-act breakup.)

MY REVIEW

Olivia is back in her hometown to take care of her mom, knowing she's going to run into her first love, Garrett Bradford. She isn't sure what she'll say to him or how she'll take seeing him again, but she does know she isn't about to fall for him again. There's no place in her life for the man who broke her heart, not when she's fresh off a divorce and feeling like taking stock of her choices. But that first love? Perhaps better off being called only love, because it's as if her body and soul still think he's her soulmate. Now she's pregnant and wondering how on earth they can make that work when he's still a pro football player across the country, and she's...here, or actually back in the city where her job is.

For most of his life, football has been Garrett's love, the thing he focuses on. But when his real first (only) love is in front of him again, he's having problems mustering up any feelings for anyone but Olivia. Is he going to walk away from football for Liv and his soon to come baby? You're damn right he is, even if Liv is surprised and wary. You see, he's not the irresponsible, selfish kid he was back then when he broke both their hearts. He's an adult now, one who knows who and what's important, and football isn't it. Now he just has to convince her that she's his and that he's never leaving her side again.

Being with the Bradford clan again is like a warm hug with laughter and love in the air, and I was here for every word of Grizz and Liv's back around again love story. I love how sweet and rock steady Garrett is with Liv, even when she isn't as sure of herself or the direction they're headed. True love is never an easy journey, but these two soulmates didn't stand a chance of not falling back into each other once they were both back in each other's orbits again. Their physical and emotional connection had only strengthened in the years they had been apart, and with his and her families meddling (in funny, sweet ways) it was inevitable. The siblings are succumbing to love left and right, and Hendrix gives an intriguing glimpse to what I know is going to be his own intense story - and I can't wait for it when The Way We Collide drops onto my Kindle soon!

My book boyfriends go with me everywhere. I prefer them tall, dark, and handsome, but I don’t discriminate. They sweep me off my feet and are always there when I need them—in my purse, in my car, and even in my bathtub. Book boyfriends may not be real, but at least they won’t break my heart… or get another girl pregnant. I don’t do relationships. I get one whiff and run in the opposite direction. It took me seven years to mend my broken heart, and I’m not about to hand it over again. That’s why I can’t fall for Beckett. Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...

Susan Arden has revealed the covers for Seduced By The Senator! Releasing June 17, 2024 What's your dirty little secret? Mine involves a handsome stranger. It began in a darkened hallway. This man's touch had me coming undone. Not only is he tall, brilliant, gorgeous, and sexy as sin, he left me wanting more. He haunts my fantasies until I read about him: Senator Bennett Stone. Armed with his name, I dig for the truth. Stone is from Atlanta and is independently wealthy. A billionaire. He's rumored to be the next vice president. Tasting forbidden fruit, I can't settle for the cloying secrecy of my family. Or their plans for me as a pawn who'll live in a gilded cage where women are expected to look beautiful and keep silent. I have to act fast. Thanks to a connection, Stone is my new boss. He's my ticket to freedom -- if he doesn't fire me on the spot when I reintroduce myself... Xavia Stillman Kennedy.
