MY REVIEW

Hades wants his revenge for the death of someone he considered his sister. Unfortunately for him, the person who stands accused is the woman he has strong feelings for. He thinks he hates Kennedy, but perhaps what he really feels is the flip side of hate. He's been obsessively watching her, and has just come to find out something that rocks his foundation. Now he has to decide if he wants revenge or he wants his family.

Kennedy has had a very hard life. Her parents passed and she was taken in by a woman who abused her until the day she passed. Just when she thought her life might be getting better, something so horrific happens, and she's accused of something she still can't know for sure she didn't do. Her amnesia prevents her from knowing what happened that night, but what she does know is the courts have allowed her to come home and now she gets to be with her son and the man who's been like a father to her. But she knows she doesn't have long, especially if Hades Kostanidis has his way. Will she ever forgive him for what his revenge has done to her life?

I haven't read any of the other Kostanidis family stories, but I will now, because Hades' and Kennedy's story is so full of intense emotions that I was riveted. I like the way the author peeled away the facts of that night, slowly letting me find out what happened, but I admit I might have thought it was drawn out a little too long. But the story itself is great. Kennedy is so strong - she was the standout for me, she and her father figure, Ernest. No matter what life threw at her, she gathered herself together and kept going. Hades wasn't my favorite, but I like how he went about protecting Kennedy, and eventually earning her forgiveness and the second chance he'd wanted even when he didn't realize it or admit it. I'm not that familiar with Greek men, but if they're all like Kostanidis men, I will definitely be reading more Greek romance now.
