Samantha Brentmoor & Jason Clarke narrate in duet!

In my defense, I had no idea the tattooed, glasses-wearing, soulful hottie I spent one perfect day—and one unforgettable night—with was a hockey star on my father’s team. And Miles didn’t know I was the coach’s daughter.

That’s the point of a “no-work-talk” date.

But now? He's as forbidden to me as I am to him.

When I land a new gig as the team photographer, we vow to keep it professional. We mostly succeed…except for that time after a game when he couldn’t keep his talented hands off me. But I swear, it won’t happen again.

Too much is at stake—I can’t risk my heart or my father’s team.

But when I’m asked to dog-sit Miles’s pack of rescue pups for a few weeks, I discover there’s more to him than I ever imagined—a man who’s genuine, thoughtful, and irresistibly real.

He looks at me like he can’t believe his luck. Touches me like he never wants to let go. And listens to my hopes and fears.

My heart’s getting dangerously attached. But if I follow it… am I putting everyone’s dreams on the line?

Tropes: coach’s daughter, the one who got away, starts with a bang, second chance vibes, age gap, forbidden hockey romance, forced proximity, workplace romance

MY REVIEW

When the model who's supposed to pose with her client in a photoshoot flakes, her savior Birdie from the local coffeeshop, sends her grandson in his place. Lo and behold, it's the sweet, gorgeous flirt she had a moment with earlier. How on earth is Leighton going to get through this photoshoot? Or more importantly, how is she going to cope after the hottest encounter of her life, knowing the two of them are forbidden? Well, in true romance fashion, a solid friendship forms that barely masks their more than friendly feelings, a friendship that undeniably turns to more. But if Leighton and Miles want to do the right thing, they have to tell her dad, who happens to be Miles' coach.

Miles knew as soon as he saw Leighton that she was the one. Even after finding out she was his hockey coach's daughter, that thought never completely left his mind. But now they're here - becoming fast friends, and he's even more in love with her than that first day. If he wants to keep his job and the respect of his coach, though, he and Leighton need to come clean. But it has to be on Leighton's timeline, because the last thing he wants to do is rush her or make her feel uncomfortable. All he wants is to live the rest of his life by her side with all their foster dogs.

I'll say it now, I have a new favorite couple! Leighton and Miles are so freaking sweet and adorable, and I can't forget to mention - HOT! I can't get over the way this couple became such good friends, all while falling in love. Miles is down and dirty in the bedroom and outside of it, the sweetest, kindest guy who only wants to make Leighton feel like the beautiful person she is by supporting her, being her rock, and just loving her. Leighton had one man in her life before that she could count on, her dad, and then this relationship with Miles was the one thing that could break that relationship. But the way she handled it brought tears to my eyes, she was so conflicted, but with Miles by her side, yeah she could do anything. Lots of puppies, geocaching, and the sweetest, hottest couple - of course I am in love with this love story, my new favorite!

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
