Review / Release Blitz: Loaded Laces (Eagles Hockey #3) by Elise Faber

LOADED LACES
Elise Faber
Release Date: March 31

A decade ago she broke me.
Now she’s back…with a kid in tow.

Belle Harrison dumped me right before I got my first big contract, breaking my heart and sending me straight into a life of singlehood.
Once bitten and twice shy, and all that.
Of course that was before she showed up after a decade, asking questions in the locker room after a game.
Questions that make me rethink everything I thought I knew.
And remind me why I never wanted to let her go in the first place.
And why I won’t ever let her go ever again.

A novella in the brand new sports romance series, Eagles Hockey, by USA Today Bestselling Author Elise Faber.

MY REVIEW

Wes is seething with anger that his first love showed up after his game and had the nerve to ask him that question. She tore him apart when she left him all those years ago, and now she shows up with a sneer, asking him that?! Nope. He's determined to have the last word with her until he sees someone in her car, a car that's seen better days, and it stops him in his tracks. Now he's pivoting, and has decided his Belle is staying with him until she gets back on her feet. But can he let her back into his heart? Or at least show her that she's never left his heart?

Belle never told Wes what made her leave him back then, and though she regrets hurting him of course, leaving paved the way for the most important part of her life to come about. She was so desperate that she came here prepared to see Wes again, to face the man she never stopped loving, but who probably hated her. She couldn't have imagined the way Wes would swoop in and take care of her. Now she just has to decide if she'll fully let him love her and to accept his help, or push him away and keep her walls up, which hasn't gotten her anywhere good.

Wes and Belle's story is heartbreaking. They were so young, susceptible to influence, and it's why Belle let someone drive her away before. Thankfully Wes let go of his anger and pain and was determined to show Belle how much he loved her and would always be her rock. Second chance stories are only successful in my eyes if the couple has done the work to show they deserve that second chance, and damn did both Wes and Belle work for their second chance! I shed a few tears along the way, but I was cheering them on as they got their happy ever after.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
