Review / Release Blitz: All Along the Watchtower (Wayward Sons #2) by Kait Nolan writing as Harper Jackson

ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER
Harper Jackson
Release Date: April 11

Will Be Available in Kindle Unlimited April 18

For ten years, I've perfected the art of ignoring Ford Donoghue whenever he comes home on leave. You can't completely avoid anyone on Hatterwick Island, but I've made it work. Until his daughter shows up.

She's thirteen, scared, and looking for the father she's never met. And suddenly I'm the one making the call I swore I'd never make, pulling Ford away from his Navy post and into my carefully constructed life. But something about her story doesn't add up, and when a body washes up on our quiet beach, the whole island starts to unravel.

Now a teenage girl is counting on me, a murderer walks freely among us, and the only person I can trust is the former best friend who broke my heart a decade ago. And the people threatening everything I love? They're counting on the fact that Ford and I are too broken to work together.

They don't know how wrong they are.

In this small tourist town, old wounds run deep and deadly secrets hide in plain sight. And this time, running away isn't an option—for any of us.

MY REVIEW

Bree's successfully avoided Ford for a decade now, when a teenage girl walks into her bar looking for her father. Bree senses a kindred spirit in her, and instantly forms a connection that now means Ford will be in her life again, even if it makes Bree crazy to be around him. The walls she's built since Ford broke her heart may not survive Peyton and her father's persistence.

Ford has never gotten over Bree. He's also never regretted more that he broke her heart and lost her. Then she actually contacts him and the chance to at least gain her forgiveness is staring him down. But only once he wraps his head around being a new father to a teenager who has immediately formed a bond with the woman who's avoided him for 10 years.

Bree and Ford's second chance is well deserved, hard-earned, and has the most adorable treasure hunting, history buff teenage girl at its center. There's also the over-arching mystery of what happened to Gwen, and more details are revealed, but there is definitely more to be found out there. The Wayward Sons aren't done falling in love, and I can't wait for the other guys to find love.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
