Kai Murdock: The Wanderer

I got the SOS to come back home to help the family business, but I wasn't expecting to be working so closely with my best friend's little sister.

My best friend's very curvy, very hot little sister who’d had quite the glow-up since I'd been gone.

And now she was managing the Murdock Brothers because we had more jobs than we knew what to do with.

Lexi Howard's strength was establishing rules and organizing my unruly brothers, but I'd always been a rule breaker and loved to push her buttons.

Too bad I wanted to pop her buttons instead.

The problem was, I was only in town for a little while to help out. I'd been one foot out the door since I was born. Indigo Valley was too small town and boring for me.

But maybe I'd never had a reason to stay before Lexi.

Falling for his best friend's little sister was not advised, but Kai never has been one to play by the rules. Indigo Valley is full of hope and new starts. The Murdock Brothers fall hard and fast, but a scorching HOT happily ever after is guaranteed.

These are quick stories served best with a glass of wine or a cup of tea before bed. Or if you’re feeling extra spicy, you can read one of these books on your lunch break!

MY REVIEW

Lexi's always had a crush on her brother's friend, Kai, but he's never felt the same about her. Or hasn't he? He's going to be her temporary roommate now that he's in town for a job, and the two of them are doing the lingering glances, "accidental" grazes thing in such close proximity. Something's gotta give, but it doesn't have to mean anything, right? He's known for not sticking around, Lexi's roots are deep here, and they absolutely cannot let Wyatt know anything's going on. So a casual fwb situation should be good until Kai leaves like he always does. The only question is whether they can stick to the no feelings allowed thing.

Kai tends to get itchy when he sticks in one place too long, and he definitely doesn't come home too often. But when his brothers need his help with their booming business thanks to Nora, his brother Sully's girlfriend's viral video of Sully working shirtless (Only One I Ever Wanted), he knows he has to come help. He didn't count on his friend Wyatt's sister to have grown into a beautiful goddess with curves for days. She's off-limits and now temporarily rooming with her and Wyatt is having a decidedly um complicated effect on him. When they decide to indulge in a casual, no strings, expiration date included, thing, there's no way it can end with anything but some good times to remember after he leaves like he always does, with Wyatt none the wiser.

These Murdock Brothers are hot! Kai has just as much of an effect on Lexi as his brother Sully does on Nora, and I loved reading as they quickly gave into their potent chemistry. For such a short, Lexi and Kai pack a lot into Make Me Stay. Their chemistry is sizzling, their emotions are simmering from the first word, and yet the mood of the story is fun, entertaining and light-hearted. I can't wait for Cash's story up next now, Wanted: Forever!

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
