Blurb
He’s the star player everyone loves to hate… and she’s the one person who might just be able to tame him.

There’s nothing Lucy James hates more than arrogant men. Unfortunately, as PR consultant for the L.A. Hawks pro hockey team, she encounters more than her fair share of them. The chief culprit? Dax Temple. He’s annoyingly attractive while he cooks up one scandal after another, making Lucy’s life a living hell. She has no desire to play babysitter just because management thinks it’s a good idea. But suddenly, she finds herself spending far too much time rubbing elbows with him, leaving Lucy to wonder if maybe, just maybe, she’s being drawn into a game she’s not sure she wants to play.

There’s nothing Dax Temple hates more than losing. Oh, right, that and Lucy James. She’s the last person he ever thought would get under his skin—but the more time they spend together, the more he finds himself fantasizing about her instead of his next win. When his biggest rival, Jack West, joins the team and starts flirting with her, Dax’s competitive streak ignites. But as the tension builds between him and Lucy, it’s becoming harder to tell whether they’re still playing a game—or if it’s something far more dangerous.

MY REVIEW

Lucy's job as a PR specialist for the LA Hawks is her dream job except for one little (big) problem - she has to babysit one of the players who's decided to make her life miserable, Dax Temple. He's rude, he's snarky, and he's too incredibly gorgeous for her peace of mind. They start off as enemies, but the more time they spend together reveals their real selves to each other. Not only do they have loss in common, they have the emotional scars because of it. Two emotionally stunted people not looking for, or wanting, a relationship or feelings should be the last people to engage in anything with each other, but they just cannot resist.

Lucy drives Dax nuts, in every kind of way. It's why the tension between them gets thicker with each exchange, until they finally give in. But he's the last person to be in a relationship, even one that's supposed to be casual. He doesn't even recognize his feelings for what they are, so how can he possibly tell her what he's feeling if he doesn't know?

These two enemies are so entertaining. They had chemistry in spades, hilarious, snarky banter, and damn did they fight their feelings for each other until they finally got their heads on straight thanks to some very enlightening chats with loved ones. I haven't had this much fun in a long time, reading as people fought each other and themselves while falling in love, as I did reading Dax and Lucy's witty love story.

Meet Sierra Lewis
Sierra Lewis learnt early on that it is usually only worth fighting physically stronger people with words – especially when it comes to older brothers . Even though a well-placed fist here and there is not to be underestimated … She was born in 1993 with an abundance of imagination, which she has been using to craft stories since fourth grade. When she’s not lost in a book or scribbling away, you’ll likely find her stuffing her face with chocolate, belting out tunes in the shower, or binge-watching outrageously illogical but irresistibly entertaining rom-coms, action flicks, and TV shows where no one ever meets a tragic end.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
