Hendrix is barely making ends meet after her ex betrayed her and took all her money, when a fateful meeting with a gorgeous guy upends her world. Now she's in a fake marriage to one of the most notorious rockstars in the world - Jase "Gizmo" Gizmodo of BENT. Time will tell if this fake relationship morphs to real, and both their hearts are on the line now.
After one too many PR faux pas, Jase has to find a way to convince a judge he's not a liability, that he can go on tour and not continue to act up. That's where the beautiful cookie specialist, Hendrix, comes in. She gets money to keep her business afloat, and he gets an image makeover. Good for both of them, unless feelings start getting in the way, and one or both their hearts get broken.
Hendrix and Jase have heartbreaking backstories, pain calling to pain. The way they handled that pain, though, is what caused all the angst and drama between them. But the way they were there for each other when the other needed, is beautiful. I haven't read a tortured rockstar romance in awhile, but reading this one reminded me just why I love them so much. All the pain and angst, the highs and lows, the way they heal each other and support each other while falling in love, all making my heart happy and have me wanting to go out and read more rockstars falling in love.
