From the minute Beckett sees the beautiful redhead, Skyla, he's all in. He'll do his best to patiently woo her, worship her, and adore her, and finally claim her heart. He'll protect her, and he'll convince his Irish that she's meant to stay here in Montana with him and his crew.
Skyla came here to Montana to escape her stalker. There's no way he'll find her here, so she can let her guard down, a little, and settle into this amazing community. She's made friends, she's teaching dance, and then Beckett comes along and shows her what it's like to be loved. If she can open her heart completely, she, her companion dog Riley and Beckett can have the most beautiful life together.
Skyla and Beckett are quite possibly the sweetest couple of Kristen's that I've ever read. He's so completely patient (and persistent) with her, instinctively knowing she doesn't need him to bulldoze her, but at the same time he's deliciously intent on loving her and her dog. Skyla makes him work a bit to get past her walls, but rightfully so considering her past and what she's running from. I couldn't help but fall in love with Beckett's swoon worthy wooing, and the way Skyla held onto her strength even as she opened up her heart to Beckett's brand of adoration. She and Beckett both have loving families (and friends), and Skyla's brother Connor is up next, with her friend Billie. I can't wait to see how this commitment-phobe gets his world rocked by love in Where We Bloom.
