Teller Bailey is the last single son in a Montana bourbon empire. He’s also arrogant, infuriating, and unfairly handsome with his beard and flannel.

Everyone in town loves him. Everyone in town detests me.

I’m “Mad Maddy” Townsend, the only surviving daughter of Bourbon Canyon’s most reviled family. I’m also mouthy, broke, and spectacularly alone.

I’ve wanted nothing more than to get away from this small town and their opinions of me since birth, yet I’m stuck here with nothing but a trashed dive bar and a shoestring budget to get it back in business—or my mom will be evicted from her nursing home.

But there isn’t a contractor in the county who’ll return my calls, at least without including a few four-letter words in their messages. My only hope for competent help is the annual bachelor auction featuring the town’s most eligible Bailey. The prize? One project completed for the highest bidder.

I must be every bit as crazy as this town thinks to bid on Teller. The man I can’t stand will be mine until I’m ready to serve my first drink. All I have to do is not fall for his charming smile, his unyielding support, or the way his name opens all the doors slammed in my face. I’ve never been treated so well, but I know how this goes. When this job is finished, he’ll ride off into the bourbon sunset—without me, just like everyone else in my life.

Readers who love Elsie Silver, Devney Perry, Laura Pavlov, and Lyla Sage will love Bourbon Sunset.

MY REVIEW

Madison is desperate - so desperate that she's gone and bid on, and won, Teller in a fundraising auction, so that he'll help her put her inherited bar back to working condition. She has no other way of getting it done, as her last name is mud in this small town. But Teller's? His is gold, and now that name is going to get every contractor in town to actually help. If only Teller hadn't shown her a side to him she'd never seen before. If only she could keep her heart out of the project the way she always has before.

Teller didn't react well back when Madison first told him about his ex. And that reaction set the tone for the antagonistic relationship between them ever since. Then she goes and wins him in an auction, and all she wants is his help in fixing up her bar. She doesn't want him to fall in love with her, but he has. And if he has to keep stocking her up with candy, sticking around, enfolding her into his family, to prove to her they're meant to be, then that's what he'll do.

Teller & Madison's story is so emotionally layered, and quite simply, beautiful. I love the way they went from an enemies vibe to friends to much, much more, but not instantly, not too fast. Their relationship evolved organically, and it tugged at all of my heartstrings with every word. I felt their longing, Madison's wariness, and Teller's urge to give Madison every single thing she wouldn't (couldn't) express because of the way she'd been treated her whole life. That he only wanted to just love her through it all - so damn swoony.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
