Review / Release Blitz: A Royal Mile (Return to Dublin Street #2) by Samantha Young

A Royal Mile by Samantha Young is now live!

Going into my senior year of university at war with a member of the British royal family wasn’t in my carefully laid plans. Sebastian Thorne might be the grandson of a princess, but it’ll take more than a royal pardon to get me to forgive him for pretending to be someone he’s not.

But Sebastian is determined to be my friend. Even if it means signing up to a psych experiment just to get me to talk to him. Who knew a sincere apology and him saying my name in that posh English accent would make me weak in the knees?

This year was supposed to be about my dissertation and graduate school. Only, Sebastian has thrown my ordered world off kilter. He makes me bolder, more confident. A braver version of me.

Yet every lingering glance and stolen touch has me realizing one thing…

I’m falling for my best friend.

There’s just one problem. Sebastian has demons, ones that make him determined to keep me in the friend zone no matter the cost.
And even when temptation sends his walls tumbling down, the beauty we’ve found might not survive against the will of powerful outside forces…

MY REVIEW

Sebastian would do anything to have Lily's forgiveness. He misled her and hurt her in the past, and she refuses to let him explain and beg for her forgiveness. He knows he needs to do something big to get her to hear him out. But if she does deign to give him a minute, all he wants is forgiveness and her friendship. Nothing more, because he isn't good for her, doesn't do relationships. Will Lily ever warm up to him? Will she even want to be friends if she does forgive him? But more importantly, will she fall in love with him the way he's fallen for her, even if he's unwilling to admit it?

Sebastian redeemed himself, righted what he did to her, and now all he wants is to be friends?! Of course. But their natural chemistry, their comfort with each other means that friendship is definitely happening. But Lily's feelings are developing into much more than friendly, and she just knows her heart is going to be the victim in the end, because she cannot fix Sebastian. His distorted views of himself aren't anything she can change. That has to be all him. Until then, she'll just be here...kicking herself that she let herself fall for her once enemy, now friend.

Lily and Sebastian have such a great enemies to friends to lovers story! Sebastian, for all his bumbling and hurtful behavior, really has a big heart, and couldn't not get Lily to forgive him. Of course it didn't go perfectly, but nothing worth having, does. Along the way they developed a truly beautiful friendship, that was obviously developing into far more. I wanted to hug them both at times, but I was smiling and rooting for them to let themselves love each other.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
