MY REVIEW
Ruby knows her insufferable but gorgeous, boss, is stalking her. He thinks he's so sly and slick and that she doesn't know, but he's not, or at least, not as sly as she. Because she's stalking him right back...and when they come together? Sparks fly, snarky banter ensues, and lust quickly turns to something much more.
Axel and Ruby are FIRE together! She's sassy and strong, and more than his equal in their partnership. She becomes the Queen to his King, and they're not just professional partners but personal partners too. He introduces her to his whole clan, and they quickly become her family as much as they are his. Their chemistry, as is the norm for Kelly, is 5 alarm hot, but it doesn't overshadow the strength of their emotional connection. So far this secret society of not really Mafia kings and queens is as intriguing, spicy and suspenseful as Kelly's other series that I love so much, and has me really impatient for the next couple - Sire and Wren.
