Review / Release Blitz: Married to Number Twenty-Two (Grizzlies Hockey #1) by Elise Faber

MARRIED TO NUMBER TWENTY-TWO
Elise Faber
Release Date: July 21

I signed the contract.
I just didn't expect her to show up ten years later, ready to cash it in.

Recently traded to the Grizzlies, I’m struggling to find my place on the team. I’ve changed coasts, moved away from my best friend, from the Breakers who became family, and…I’m alone.
And it’s my birthday.
A fact that everyone around me seems to have forgotten.
Until a knock at the door proves differently.
I was in love with Luna when I was a teenager, and now she's on my doorstep, vivacious and beautiful and…holding a piece of paper I barely remember.
One that says we’ll get married…
And I think I’m just insane enough to say yes.

Married to Twenty-Two is the first book in the brand new Grizzlies Hockey series. If you love big, bearded hockey players who fall hard and fast for the women they love, this series is for you!

MY REVIEW

Luna and Aiden used to be best friends, then more as teens, but life took them in separate ways. But when she needs help years later, the only person she can think to ask is him. After all, they have a signed marriage agreement that says they'll marry if they're both single at the time. She needs that marriage, and she'll end up needing Aiden, too.

Though Aiden and Luna haven't been in each other's lives in a long time, when she ends up on his doorstep one night, it's as if time has stood still and he's in love with her all over again. She's reminding him of their old marriage contract, and he can't think of anyone else he'd rather be married to, even if it's just to help her fulfill her grandma's will stipulations. Aiden knows how to play the game though, he's going to make their marriage a real one, to remind Luna that they're soulmates.

Elise and hockey always equal a hot combo. I already know I'm going to love this spinoff of Eagles Hockey and Eagles Oakridge Vineyards - Jean-Michel (Bottles & Blades) and Jace (Beauty & the Boardroom) step in to help Luna deal with her terrible father and brother, and Aiden's teammates are around for laughs (Smitty!), support and giving Luna the family she deserved. And Aiden and Luna proved they were really soulmates destined to be together, even if they had years apart in the middle of their journey. But when they reunite, their friendship unfolds so naturally, as if they'd never been apart. And that young love develops into the timeless, adult kind of love that soulmates have. I love this couple meant for each other, all their found family, with hints at stories to come. Gray and Faye are next when Divorced from Number Thirty-Eight drops, and I can't wait.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
