Coach Bradford is my son's high school football coach…
and my secret dom.

Jack Bradford is the oldest of the Bradford siblings, my best friend’s brother, and my son’s football coach.
He’s six-two, dark hair, ocean-blue eyes, broad shoulders, and a square jaw that’s perpetually flexed.
He’s a hero in our small town, and the gentle way he cares for his young daughter will melt your… everything.

I’ve done my best to show my interest, even walking down the aisle on his arm four times (in his younger siblings’ weddings).
Everyone in Newhope ships us, but he always keeps me at arm’s length.
I’d pretty much given up on landing this DILF, when an overbearing dad says my son is only QB-1 because I give the coach “special favors.” (I wish!)
Then my ex-con ex-husband starts threatening us, and the walls break.

Coach Jack shows up at my door, sleeps on my couch, and his fight disappears.
Being with him is beyond my wildest dreams. His secrets don’t scare me.
He’s everything I’ve ever wanted… and more.
Together, we’re a win, and at last I go from dirty little secret to dirty little wife.

(The Way We Win is a small-town, single dad, single mom, football romance with a HOT high school football coach, a sexy librarian, Friday night lights, ALL the Bradford fun, SPICE, and a touch of suspense. No cheating, no cliffhanger, and no third-act breakup.)

MY REVIEW

Allie and Jack have been orbiting around each other for years. He's her son's football coach and her best friend Dylan's (The Way We Touch) brother, so it's not as if they're not friends of a sort. But he's always kept her at somewhat of a distance, both physically and emotionally. But then her ex starts to meddle in her and her son Austin's lives, and suddenly Jack's uber protective tendencies flare to life. Now there's no distance between them anymore. Oh they're still the same to their family and friends, but behind closed doors, they're are something quite different, something delicious...

Jack has always had feelings for Allie that go beyond "friend of his little sister" or "mother of one of his football players", but he knew better than to give into those feelings. He has always had so much weighing on him - raising his younger siblings after their parents passed, raising his own adorable daughter, and now coaching his high school football team, and didn't indulge in dating or relationships after his horrible ex left (but only after hurling awful, untrue things at him). But Allie's drawn him to her in a special way. When her awful ex husband gets out of prison and starts harassing her and Austin, he's done keeping her at arm's length. Now he's going to protect them both, and if he can convince her and Austin, make them part of his family.

There's something extra special about Tia's Bradford clan. There's the sense of family and found family. There's passion and suspense, good times and bad, and above all, the the love they have for each other and the ones they bring into the fold. Jack is the last sibling to fall and his story was a doozy! I knew he had the weight of the world on his shoulders, but I had no idea of everything he had gone through, and I hurt for him. Allie is really the only one that could end up being his one, the only one perfect for him. She not only brought out his protective tendencies, but she had her own strength that she exhibited every day as she raised her son on her own, and fought to keep her ex from hurting him. That she and Jack are both single parents only added to that perfect for each other combo, and their kids are so darn adorable, that bringing them all together made me tear up a little. I really, really hope Tia writes a second gen series with both Austin and Kimmie in the mix, because I know their stories will have me fall in love with the Bradfords even more. All the Bradford siblings have fallen in love now, and Tia saved the best one for last. Jack and Allie's found family story is beautiful, heartfelt, and whew, HOT! I'm going to miss this generation of Bradfords, but a spinoff is coming, starting with Pinch, and I can't wait!

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
