Review / Release Blitz: Boss of the Year (Belmont Billionaires #2) by Nicole French

BOSS OF THE YEAR
Nicole French
Release Date: August 15
AVAILABLE IN KINDLE UNLIMITED

He’s her brooding, off-limits boss. She’s his brother’s newest flame…and the weakness he’s craved for years.

She never expected to come face-to-face with Lucas Lyons—the grumpy, gorgeous CEO of the entire Lyons empire and the older brother of her long-forgotten crush.

Once upon a time, Marie had been just the invisible girl in the back of the estate kitchen. Now? She’s confident, capable, and no longer easy to ignore.

Especially not by Lucas.

He sees her now. And it’s a problem.

***

Lucas Lyons—head of the Lyons family empire, perfectionist, older brother to the man who used to make Marie’s teenage heart flutter—sees his beautiful personal chef as a complication. A distraction he doesn’t need. A girl he has no business wanting. Especially now that his younger brother is suddenly very interested in Marie himself.

Lucas knows she’s too young. Too bold. Too tempting.

But the closer they get, the more dangerous the line between forbidden and inevitable becomes.

For a man like Lucas, giving in means losing control. And falling for Marie Zola?

Might just ruin them both.

*Boss of the Year is a Sabrina-inspired boss-employee romance that does NOT include cheating, but does include a lot of angst. If you’re not up for drama, this isn’t your cup of tea.

MY REVIEW

For so long, Marie had a crush on Daniel, the younger brother, the golden child who never noticed her. Now she's back and Daniel's noticing her. Then along came her new boss, Lucas, Daniel's older, more serious brother. Suddenly she's caught between the two brothers, and she has to make a choice - her long held crush, or his older brother.

I'm the first to admit that love triangles aren't normally my thing, but I loved this one. I think because I already knew who she'd choose, the brother who really saw her, really loved her. He had to do a lot of groveling in the end, but Marie made the only choice her heart would let her. Their emotional connection is so strong, and their physical connection - whew! I haven't read the first one in this series, but after having fallen for this couple, I am definitely going back to read it and I look forward to the next Belmont Billionaire to find love.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
