Dream On by Jennifer Hartmann is now live!
From USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Hartmann comes an all-new standalone crossover romance filled with heartache and dreams.
Lexington Hall and I were never supposed to collide—he, the golden boy of Hollywood, and me, a small-town dreamer with stars in my eyes. But when we shared the stage in our high school musical, something ignited.
Then, just as quickly, it all fell apart, leaving my dreams in pieces.
Now, four years later, Lex is a household name, turning our past into a television sensation. He's spun our story for the world to see, while I'm still haunted by what we lost.
With millions obsessed over the "real" Stevie St. James, Lex reappears with an offer too tempting to turn down: a fake romance to keep the buzz alive, in exchange for the financial freedom I desperately need.
I convince myself I can play the part. But as old feelings resurface and new risks emerge, the line between fiction and reality begins to blur.
Dreams are easy to chase—but falling for the guy who shattered mine could cost me everything.

MY REVIEW
Stevie is every small town girl - has stars in her eyes looking toward her future. Then what could be her future literally crashes into her. Famous actor, Lexington is the opposite of Stevie, at first glance. He's rude, arrogant, and condescending. But somehow they forge a connection when they're on stage performing together. That future's looking pretty bright. Until it's not. She's moved on, though, and never thinks she'll have to confront the boy who broke her heart, again.
Lex is not in a good spot when he meets Stevie. There's something inside him that's irreparably broken, or so he thinks. And it's that brokenness that guides his behavior, his choices. He keeps most at a distance, until Stevie. She sees past his "keep away" facade, and doesn't judge, even seems to like him. Until another bad decision, and now it's years later and they're about to have a reunion. He has no doubts she'll be unhappy to see him, but he's determined to get her to agree to his and his agent's fake dating proposal. The only question is - will it be their second chance, or the thing that permanently severs anything between them.
What an emotional rollercoaster Dream On is. This second chance is slow burn, but not without its angst and tension. I love Stevie's character - she's got a huge, compassionate heart, and I was really rooting her on the whole way. Lex, oh Lex...his awful backstory definitely informed his behavior, and everyone was the worst for it. Thank God for that compassionate heart I mentioned, though, because Stevie never gave up on Lex once they reunited. I'm not going to forget Stevie and Lex's second chance anytime soon.
