Blurb
Nalia never expected to move back to her hometown, especially not with her ten-year-old sister in tow. But when her biological mother is sent to prison, she finds herself stepping into the role of parent. Overwhelmed with her new reality, she turns to the one place she has always felt safe. Home with her family.

What she doesn’t expect when she moves home is him.

After getting divorced, Logan Rafe is not interested in another relationship. His world revolves around his two kids and the auto shop he built from the ground up.

But then he meets Nalia Mayson. Beautiful, brave, and completely uninterested.

Using everything at his disposal, including their kids’ friendship, as an excuse to get closer, Logan slowly breaks down her walls. And before long, what began as an unlikely friendship becomes something deeper, something only he saw coming.

But healing takes time, and Nalia will need to accept herself and her past before she can fully let herself fall in love. And the two of them, well, the two of them will need to navigate having children, a school bully, and a complex family situation if they are going to find their happily ever after.

MY REVIEW

Nalia's finally come back home, and this time she has her younger sister in tow. She's doing her best to be Zuri's guardian, keep their mother at bay, and reconnect with her adopted family. She's not looking for a relationship or love, but Logan comes into her life thanks to his kids and her sister's new friendship, and he's intent on showing her that their instant connection is going to be a forever one. He just has to make it past her walls, which won't be easy.

I can't believe this is the last of this generation's series. The Boom isn't done with the Maysons though, even if this Mayson is in denial for quite awhile. Logan and Nalia's story is sweet, and boy is it entertaining reading as Logan works his determination and charm on a very reluctant Nalia. It was slow going getting her to open up, but so worth it when she finally allowed Logan to love her and Zuri. I'm sad this series has come to an end, but I think Nalia was a good person to end it with, considering she was the one who had left, and it was time she finally came home to her family.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
