Review Blitz: I Dare You: A Small Town Romance (Wilder #4) by Isla Stelmark

I Dare You by Isla Stelmark is now live!

I never expected to find myself back in Calla Bay, my childhood hometown. Not after I was humiliated and made a fool of by my brother's best friend. Sebastian Devereux made me feel things I had never felt. I gave him everything only to find out it was all part of a dare.

Eleven years later, now my life that I had been so proud of in New York City was crumbling. I had lost my job and my friends. Worst of all, I had lost my sense of self. Taken from me by the person I thought was supposed to love me.

Back in my childhood bedroom, jobless and alone, was not on my life's bingo card, so when my brother Luke gets me a job working for none other than Sebastian Devereux, I'm in no position to say no. But that doesn't mean I have to like it.

He can keep his dimpled smile and charming words. They don't affect me like they did when I was a naive eighteen year old.

If I have to keep repeating that to myself everyday like a mantra, reminding me not to let him get too close, then that's what I'll do. I fell for his charm once already, it would be stupid to do it again. So why do I find my heart opening up to the one person it never should.

MY REVIEW

The last place Lydia wants to be is back in her hometown, but she has no choice. Now she's here, dealing with the after effects of an abusive relationship, and has to work with her brother's best friend, Sebastian. After he broke her heart years before, why would she ever open herself back up to being hurt by him again? Except perhaps he's changed, just as she has.

At times heartbreaking, but always heartfelt, Lydia and Sebastian's journey is one of forgiveness, redemption, and love. Sebastian had come so far since the boy who broke her heart, and was just aching to show her he deserved a second chance to love her. Lydia had survived a horrible relationship, and had the bruises on her psyche to show for it, but she also had the strength that survivors have. Though it hurt for her to have to come back home under such circumstances, it brought her to Sebastian, to love. I haven't read the rest of this series, but I'm about to go download it now, thanks to having fallen in love with this world seen through Lydia and Sebastian's eyes.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
