MY REVIEW

Shelby's finally come back to her hometown, to see her beloved grandpa. He's the only one in her awful family she'd come back for. Unfortunately, she came at the worst time, weather wise, now her car's stuck and she's wearing entirely ineffectual clothes for a blizzard. Thank God her high school crush, Sheriff Wesley Hart, comes along and rescues her. Being snowed in has their chemistry sizzling, and the forced proximity gives them a chance to indulge. But it's just a little hookup, as she won't be here forever, and he hasn't dated in so long he forgot how. Except Shelby just may be discovering a good reason to stay here now.

This small town had a heck of a lot going on! I like Wes and his family, and Shelby's amazing grandpa, but I have to admit that Shelby bugged me. I get that she had some trauma because of her family, but she was the worst communicator and jumped to conclusions 90% of the time. I felt like Wes could have done a lot better, found someone far more stable and mature enough for a relationship. But aside from Shelby's kinda awful character, I liked the rest of The Sheriff’s Rescue. The chemistry is strong, the bit of suspense is entertaining, and the small town characters are quirky and fun.
