He’s the man I can’t forget. I'm the client he can’t touch. But some rules are meant to be broken.

I’ve spent my whole life being a good girl, and where has it gotten me? Nowhere. So I do something reckless, just for me. I let my best friend drag me to The Players Club where I taste freedom for the first time…and a dark, intense stranger catches me watching what it looks like to truly surrender. With nothing but his voice and hands, he gives me the most explosive night of my life.

It was supposed to be one night of pleasure, until Tate Holland walks back into my life as my full-time bodyguard. Now, he’s professional. Controlled. Off-limits. But every look ignites me. Every command makes me ache. Every moment alone feels like one breath away from breaking every rule just to touch him again.

While keeping me safe, Tate sees the real me beneath the privilege. He challenges me. He believes in me even when my own family doesn’t. And I see the truth behind his walls, the darkness he’s too afraid to unleash, the guilt he carries. The man who thinks he’s too dangerous to love.

But I crave that primal side to him, and I want every piece he tries to hide.

When the danger escalates and betrayal strikes from someone close by, Tate becomes the one man I can trust with my life…and my heart. Now, all that’s left is for him to trust me with his.

Playing with Surrender delivers a spicy bodyguard romance with forbidden tension, a protective alpha hero, good-girl rebellion, forced proximity, and a love story where surrender isn’t weakness—it’s everything.

MY REVIEW

Stella's life is not her own, she's merely someone who parents view as just an extension of their high society life. Her dream is to be a fashion designer, even has the designs to prove it, but in their eyes, that's not an acceptable thing for their daughter to do. So taking one night to do something she's only fantasized before, will have to be the one and only time of her life that's just for her. The man she meets and has the most unforgettable experience with will just have to remain in her memories...until he walks back into her life as her new bodyguard. The new bodyguard that's is even more forbidden than before.

Tate and Stella's story is intense and emotional and so deliciously steamy. From their very first meeting, their connection was obvious, and only deepened, both emotionally and physically, as time passed. Stella had always done what her parents wanted, and they treated her horribly for it, so it was only a matter of time before she rebelled and took back control of her life. That's where Tate came in. Their timing was perfect - he became her rock and her guide to submission, and she became his warmth, and the woman to help him heal from his own pain. I love how perfect they were for each other as they fell so hard.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
