MY REVIEW
Erika and Josh were sweet first loves when she caught him kissing someone else, and all her dreams of a future with him went out the door. She left and vowed never to return to their small town. Alas, her estranged father passed and now she's back, with guardianship of her younger, previously unknown brother, AND half ownership of a veterinary clinic, co-owned by none other than her ex, the boy, now man, she hates. Oops.
These two were fire! And I mean that in every way. Their enemies vibe was real. The revenge pranks were savage. They really, really, really had some intense feelings of dislike for each other. And yet beneath all that was obviously love, just waiting to catch fire from all the sparks in the room with them. Erika is awesome - smart, sassy, just trying to figure out how to raise her brother and make a partnership work with someone she has complicated feelings for. And then there's Josh. If ever there was a stubborn man who just needed to figure his shit out, it's Josh. I wanted to smack him more than once, but deep inside, in that heart of his is a good person. Honestly, he's lucky Erika came back, because she's the only who really, really saw the real him. These second chance is so fun and I was rooting for them with every snarky jab they threw at each other.
