Review Blitz: Rhythm is a Heartbeat by L.H. Cosway

Rhythm is a Heartbeat by L.H. Cosway is now live!

Shannon Guerin is an ordinary single mother--except for the fact that her ex-husband is the lead singer of a world famous rock band.
Shannon and Jace were childhood sweethearts. They divorced when his drug addiction destroyed their marriage, but that was years ago. Now he's in recovery and has just come off a yearlong tour. His band is going on hiatus, which means Jace is going to be around a whole lot more for their daughter, Zara. What Shannon doesn't know is that Jace never stopped loving her and has a secret plan to win her back.
While Shannon has tried to convince herself to move on, she's never fully gotten over her ex. Jace is determined to prove that he deserves her trust again even though he knows it won't come easy.
When someone begins impersonating Jace online and scamming his fans, he and Shannon grow closer in their quest to find the culprit. The bond they once shared sparks to life, but old hurts take time to heal. Jace is patient and prepared to make amends for the pain he caused in the past. He will go the distance for the one and only woman who ever captured his heart.

Rhythm is a Heartbeat is a Six of Hearts next generation novel, starring Jay and Matilda's son, Jace. It can be read as a standalone romance.

MY REVIEW

Shannon's got her routine down - her daughter, her work, and her daughter's grandparents. Her ex/daughter's father Jace, isn't really in her life much, not since she divorced him at the height of his addiction. But now he's back, no longer on tour, out of rehab, and wants to be around more for their daughter. Of course he wants to, and of course she has to let him. What she doesn't have to do, is let him back into her heart. Or perhaps not let on that he's always been in her heart, deep down where she doesn't have to acknowledge that she's always loved him, even when he destroyed their marriage.

Not once during his life, marriage, and divorce has Jace ever stopped loving Shannon. They are opposites for sure, but also soulmates, and now that he's back, he's going to remind her of that. He's hoping for forgiveness, redemption, and for her to remember the love that's always been there.

I fell in love with this beautiful couple first when Shannon and Zara were introduced, then even more when Jace came home and his longing for his first love and his love for his daughter shone through his every word. I wanted to cry with them when Jace was being tormented by the person who stole his identity and came after Shannon, but most of all I was cheering as they got their well deserved second chance, surrounded by his loving family. LH Cosway has written some of my favorite stories (Rugby series, and the original Hearts series), so when I found out a second gen was being written, I knew I had to read it. And boy am I glad I got the chance to read it, because it's as beautiful as the og series.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
