MY REVIEW

Kiera's running from her abusive ex, and lands in a friend's cabin. Except the cabin isn't actually free, and belongs to a man who hates her (she thinks). But she was wrong about Bodhi, wrong about his feelings, and wrong about the real cause of his behavior. She'll soon find that the man she thought hated her has very different feelings for her.

Bodhi has lived with the grief and the guilt from losing his wife and kids to an arsonist's fire, and the community around him has never been on his side. Then Kiera somehow ends up staying with him. Now he's starting to feel a lightening of his immense pain, and it's all because of the woman who took his brother's place in his band.

Bodhi and Kiera's story is a heartbreaking journey filled with pain and grief, but healing and love in the end. I wanted to hug Bodhi every time he visited his family at the cemetery, every time he felt like he couldn't keep going with the guilt living in his soul. And I was so glad Kiera came along, because she was the one to bring about his healing, freeing him from the pain he'd been living with for so long. But not just for him, but for herself, because Bodhi did for her what she did for him - helped her heal. I adored this couple who fought so hard for their love, for their happiness. They had to surmount so many obstacles, and deal with so much heartbreak, but it made their happiness in the end that much more beautiful.
