Having a baby wasn’t in my five-year plan.
Then again, neither was sleeping with a hockey player who hates my guts.

Star forward for the Grizzlies, Leo Richardson is my least favorite person on the planet.
Unfortunately, after a night of drinking and debauchery—on both our sides—we end up in bed together.
It was supposed to be one time—
Not a night punctuated by a lifetime of parental responsibility…and the slowly sinking feeling that I may have misjudged Leo. That there may be more to him than the playboy persona.
That he may be everything I’ve ever dreamed of.
And that…I don’t think I can let him go.

MY REVIEW

Harper thought she and Leo connected during their memorable night, but when he shuts her out the next morning, she knows he's no different than any other douche who's a player on and off the ice. That's why when she ends up pregnant, she knows she's going to do it alone. Well, maybe not alone, she has a found family in Leo's hockey team and the women who love them, but Leo definitely won't be involved. Or will he? Has she misjudged him?

Leo's childhood raised by awful parents has kept him from forming real emotional connections with women. It's why when he starts feeling something during and after nis night with Harper, he reverts to his usual cold hearted ways. Now Harper's avoiding him and determined to do everything alone, pregnancy, birth, and raising their child. Will Leo step up, or abandon her like every other man has?

Oh Leo...so emotionally immature! But Harper, this woman is amazing, has her own emotional issues, too, but also is so strong. But, those issues when paired Leo's? Total cluster. Thank God for their found hockey family, thank God Harper and Leo worked through their individual baggage, and their shared baggage. I love the way Leo really did show up for Harper and their soon to come baby. He did the little things and the big things. He was her rock, and I honestly never saw that happening in the beginning, considering what a jerk he was at first. And I loved even more the way Harper learned to rely on not just Leo, but her found family, too. I adore the Grizzly hockey family, each couple and the way they fall, hard. Harper and Leo are such a beautiful couple, who work hard for their happiness, they had me falling in love even more with the Grizzly hockey world, and now I'm very impatient for Lainey and Sawyer's love story, One Night with Number Nineteen.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
