Blurb
She was the last woman I should have wanted. And the only woman I couldn’t let go.

Two years ago, Charlotte Massey destroyed my life and career with a single story. I rebuilt myself from the wreckage—harder, colder, and closed off to everything but work. Then I was handed a protection assignment, and I opened the file to find her face staring back at me. The woman I’d once trusted. The woman I’d once taken to The Players Club and lost myself inside. The woman who ruined me, in more ways than one.

Now she was my client. An investigative reporter who’d gotten too close to a powerful and dangerous businessman and now had a target on her back to prove it. Every instinct told me to let someone else handle her case, but the moment I saw her again—defiant, fearless, and impossibly beautiful—the anger flooding my veins mixed with something far more dangerous. Desire. Raw, consuming, and completely inconvenient. I still craved her, and I’d destroy anyone who tried to hurt her.

Playing with a Scandal is a high-heat bodyguard romance filled with second-chance tension, dominant protector energy, emotional scars, and a man who would burn down a criminal empire before he let the woman he loves slip though his fingers again.

MY REVIEW

Kane lost everything when Charlotte published her inflammatory story. Now a few years later, no longer a cop, Kane's working as an independent security agent when his latest charge is none other than the woman who cost him everything. Now that they're in the same orbit again, he just may be able to get some answers from her. Maybe some closure. And maybe a whole lot more...

Second chance, suspense, and delicious chemistry - I can always count on Erika for an emotionally complex, heartfelt love story. Kane and Charlotte's second chance is painful at times, but worth all the pain in the end when they surmount all their obstacles and cement the love that was just beginning back when it all fell apart.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
