I met Ben Wells at an airport on one of the worst days of my life.
We talked, laughed, connected, and survived a travel disaster.
Then we shared one wild, passionate night together.
That was where the story was supposed to end.
Ben went back to his life as a professional rugby player, and I went back to mine as a college student. Except mine came with a positive pregnancy test and a life I never planned for. One Ben made it clear he wanted no part of.
I didn’t fall apart or chase him. I picked myself up and brushed myself off, raised my daughter, and fought my way into law school.
For five years, we did just fine without him.
We were happy, even.
Then, out of nowhere, Ben crashes back into our lives, smiling like nothing ever happened, and everything I thought I knew comes undone. Because some misunderstandings don’t just break hearts. They steal years.
Now Ben is determined to make up for lost time, and not just with our daughter.
The passion we shared is still alive and well, but the stakes are much higher now. But if there’s one thing Ben is good at—besides being relentlessly cheerful and sexy in his rugby uniform—it’s persistence. He doesn’t give up.
If Ben has it his way, the end of our story will be only the beginning.

MY REVIEW
Would you rather...nah, never mind, I can't out would you rather Ben or Mazzy. When these two adorable people meet, their meet cute is honestly one of the sweetest I've ever read. She's at the airport in NZ trying to find a flight home, and she really can't afford it. Then a savior steps in and pays for her ticket, in first class no less, and a connection is formed that seems to be the kind that will stand the test of time, even if their time naturally has an expiration date. Still, when Mazzy travels to Ben's rugby match to let him know there's a sweet consequence coming soon, he lets her know in no uncertain terms that he's not here for it, for her, for them. But...5 years later, things have changed, Ben's here, looking destroyed that he missed their daughter's first years. Will Mazzy let him be Katty's dad? And maybe even be Mazzy's forever?
OK, first I have to say that Ben Wells is the sweetest, most adorable golden retriever of a bbf, ever. From his first big gesture to his last heartfelt, swoony words to Mazzy, gah I could not have loved him more. And Mazzy, this woman is everything. Even though she had it rough, losing her dads, then becoming pregnant and doing it without her partner, and still staying the sweetest, strongest and best mom, she deserved the giant rugby playing goofball that is Ben Wells, because no one could have loved her and Katty more than Ben. Julia knows how to write a love story, that is never more evident than Mazzy, Katty, Ben and their family.
Meet Julia Wolf
Julia Wolf writes sexy rockers, broken bad boys, snarky heroines, and bad ass women. She’s a firm believer in happily ever afters, no matter how rocky the road is to get there.
She doesn’t believe in “guilty pleasures”, only pleasure. Reading about a plus size woman who gets absolutely railed by a hot rock star is pleasure. Reading about a damaged college student whose flaws are valued and loved by the grumpy guy next door is pleasure. Reading about love in a small town or big city or on a tour bus is pleasure. Reading romance is pleasure!
Julia lives in Maryland with her husband and three crazy, beautiful children. When she’s not writing romance, she’s reading it. Some of her favorite things are, in no particular order: goats, books, coffee, and Target.
