Review Blitz: The Way You Still Say My Name (Wild Mountain #1) by Ava Miles

The Way You Still Say My Name by Ava Miles is now live!

Discover why millions love USA Today bestselling author Ava Miles’ feel good small towns like Dare Valley in this new Western series: second chances, big feels, quirky loveable characters, but most of all a happily ever after you won’t be able to put down.

Welcome to Wild Mountain, where family is everything, secrets run deep, and true love is always worth the fight.

Second chances. Small-town secrets. A cowboy who never stopped loving her.

He gave her a first kiss.
She gave him her first everything.
But when she needed wings, he chose roots…and broke both their hearts in the process.

Now Hannah’s back in Montana under false pretenses, and Ben’s twin brother has a plan: reunite the town’s most legendary couple while saving the struggling McAllister ranch. All they have to do is open a spa and rehabilitation center on Wild Mountain. Simple, right?

Except nothing is simple. Ben still looks way too tempting in a cowboy hat, she has a charming “work husband,” and the spark between them burns hotter than ever.

And not even Ben—a grumpy, stubborn single dad with a ranch to save and a heart he refuses to risk again—can put the flames out. With meddling townsfolk, an enemy ex-wife, a power-hungry billionaire, and old wounds threatening to reopen, their second chance could either heal them… or break them for good.

Perfect for readers who love:
• Small town Western romance
• Second chance at love
• Grumpy sunshine romance
• Single dad cowboy heroes
• Opposites attract
• Protective heroes
• Ranch romance
• Community meddling with heart
• Emotional, heartwarming love stories with high-stakes drama

MY REVIEW

Hannah and Ben were supposed to be together forever, were staring at a future as forever soulmates. But when her dream diverged from his, she left for Scotland, and took his heart with her. Years later, his twin comes to her with a timely proposal - come back to Montana and open her own herbalist practice, right on his family's land. Yes, it will mean she and Ben have to work together in a way, but it also means she and her business partner and work husband will have the business together they've been working toward, but were unable to open in Scotland. This will either be the start of something new and beautiful, or the worst idea, ever.

Back when Ben was young and stupid, he couldn't see past Hannah's leaving, and acted out after she left. The product of some of that behavior is his young son, Cooper, the most important person in his life, the reason he has for waking up every morning and continuing on. Then the one who was his first, comes back, and he has to face all this bad decisions. At first he thinks perhaps he and Hannah can just be civil and work together to build up the new wellness center where her herbalist program will be, but his heart knows they're still soulmates. If only he can gain her forgiveness and prove to her that her heart is still safe with him.

Hannah and Ben's second chance story is powerful, heartfelt, and sweet. I love the way they came back together, healed from all their past pain, and banded together with Ben's family and the rest of the town to take on the forces trying to hurt them. Their story apparently isn't done, though, so now I'm impatiently waiting for their next chapter, The Way You Always Hold Me, which is coming soon thankfully.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
