Mac Meyers.
My secret crush.
Most unattainable guy on campus.
Relentless flirt (except with me).

Being friends with the guy on campus that everyone wants comes with its own set of problems.

None of us can eat in the cafeteria without being interrupted ten times.
Well, I’ve had enough.
So the most unhinged thing comes out of my mouth: I tell them to leave my boyfriend alone.
Except Mac is not my boyfriend.
Not even close.

Until he looks at me like I have the most inspired idea.

My name is Ophelia Forrest-Hammer, and Mac Meyers wants to be my fake boyfriend.
But I wish he was my real one.

MY REVIEW

Fee (Ophelia) is so tired of all the girls on campus hitting on her friend Mac, that she takes the situation in hand and tells them to leave her boyfriend alone. Whew! Now he can concentrate on hockey, and she can concentrate on not going nuts on the next girl who bugs him when they're anywhere in public. But now that she's in a fake relationship with her friend, how's she going to not break and reveal her teeny, tiny crush on him?

Mac and Fee are so freaking cute and sweet and adorable and all the good things. They had a mutual pining thing going on that neither knew, so it was so fun reading as they realized, and how their feelings only became stronger once they were out in the open. It's not all light, though, because Mac has anxieties thanks to his parents, and of course Fee is still dealing with losing her parents. They deal though, with the support of their amazing found families, both on and off the ice. It was so great being back on campus with the whole Tilton crew, now I'm anxiously waiting for the next couple, I really hope it's Gage and his sister's bestie.

Review Blitz: The Challenge by Penelope Ward

Title: The Challenge: A Single Dad Romance Author: Penelope Ward Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance Tropes: Single Dad, Second Chance, Forced Proximity Friends to Lovers, Small Town, Found Family Release Date: August 30, 2026 BLURB From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward comes a new, STANDALONE contemporary romance… Nothing says welcome home like accidentally moving in with your first heartbreak…and his little girl. Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...

You TV series

Wow, hubby and I watched You on Lifetime last night. It was creepy and suspenseful. Hubby likened it to Dexter , and I have to agree. Penn Badgley was on point - creepy, stalkery, but fascinating. I didn't think too much of Elizabeth Lail's acting, but I'm not sure if it was just that her character was bland, or if it was truly bad acting. Can't wait for next week!
