Review of Back In The Saddle (Monroe Ranch Series Book 2) by Ayla Harlow
It's been five years since Levi and Callie fell in love, then went their separate ways. Never in a million years did she think he'd walk into her office and ask for her help saving his family's legacy - their land and their ranch. And never did she imagine she'd get a second chance with the man she's loved for 5 years.
Levi needs Callie's help now more than ever. All his old feelings for Callie are still there, though, so when they're both back at his home on his ranch, they can't help but to fall into each other all over again. Will they get their second chance or will Callie's asshole ex have his way and take her away from him?
I loved this conclusion to Levi and Callie's story. It's much more well rounded than its predecessor, Far From Home. In my review for Far From Home, I stated that I hoped Levi and Callie would be on the same page and closer in emotional maturity levels, and my wish came true because here they felt much closer in emotional maturity and in their respective places in life. Throw in a little ex drama, both Callie's and Levi's late brother's, and Back in the Saddle is an emotionally rewarding, well-written second chance romance. I can't help but look forward to more from this author after having read Levi and Callie's story.
